Running course up Ulriken - oppstemten! MAX 20 spots to this event!
Stian Angermund-Vik, world champion in skyrunning and Norwegian champion in uphill racing, is to be your instructor for the evening! This will be an exciting and educational afternoon up the mountain! Maybe we might get an extra challenge with some ice and snow!
The price includes a running course, a summary in Ulriken cafe with Stian, a small snack, something warm to drink and a cable car ride down.
You can deliver a bag upon arrival at the lower station with warm clothes, which we carry up to the top for you while you train with Stian.
Starting point: Ulriken (Haukelandsbakken 40), outside the lower station at 17:00
Remember! : Headlamp and spikes for your shoes if the weather indicates it.
The course is completed step by step.
Warm-up: Jogging / leisurely walking uphill
Technique training: review of different techniques for walking and running uphill. All participants get to try and get constructive comments given on their technique.
Interval training for uphill: Here we learn how interval training improves VO2 max, and improves the anaerobic threshold.
After the intervals, we jog up to the mast for a small snack, coffee and a conversation about the exercise (in Norwegian)!
A cable car ride back down is included for those that wish not to walk.

Warm jackets/clothes are recommended at the top (this can be sent in a bag up Ulriksbanen upon arrival)
