The new Ulriken cairn has become an attractive hiking destination.

A new cairn has been built at the top of Ulriken in 2024, 643 meters above sea level. This is the highest point of the Ulriken and therefore the highest point of the 7 mountains that the surround the city of Bergen.

In addition, the path from the top of the Ulriken Cable Car to the cairn has been improved with features such as boardwalks and 20 green signposts to guide you to the top.

The hike is approximately 1 km and takes about 20 minutes to walk each way. The route is suitable for families with children and others who want a short and safe hike on Ulriken. At the top, you will receive a panoramic view of the city mountains and large parts of Bergen, but also the impressive and majestic highland nature surroundings.

This is an amazing short hike experience at Ulriken where you truly get to see Bergen from a birds view.
