What Does a Visit to Ulriken Cost? Prices, Family Maths and Ways to Save
From February 2027 a return ticket on Ulriksbanen costs NOK 460 for adults and NOK 190 for children aged 4–16. A family ticket for two adults and up to three children is NOK 1,110. Children under 4, dogs and bikes ride free.

The cable car is closed throughout January 2027 for maintenance and reopens on 2 February 2027.

Bus tickets are bought at the bus stop at Torgallmenningen, online, or at the tourist information. Public transport with Skyss is a cheaper alternative if you already have a travel pass.
Activities and food
- Ulriken Zipline: NOK 590 adult, NOK 390 child (8–15). Cable car not included.
- Ulriken Café: drop-in, with mountain menu, coffee, ice cream and the Ulriken bun.
- Skyskraperen: 3-course seasonal lunch or 5-course tasting menu by reservation. The packages include the cable car ticket: NOK 1,099 for lunch and NOK 1,549 for the tasting menu in 2027 (NOK 999 and NOK 1,499 in 2026).

The examples use 2027 cable car prices and 2026 bus prices. The family ticket pays off as soon as two adults travel with two children: two adult and two child returns would cost NOK 1,300, compared with NOK 1,110.
Ways to save
- Buy the family ticket if you are two adults with children aged 4–16.
- Go one way. Hike up the Sherpa steps (about 1 hour) and ride down, or ride up and hike Vidden back towards the city.
- Bergen Card gives 10% off cable car tickets, but not on top of offers such as the family ticket.
- Groups of 10 or more get 10% off. Group tickets can be bought online or at the lower station.
- Staying a while or coming back? The annual pass currently costs NOK 995 (adult) and pays for itself from the third visit. Pass holders can bring a child up to 15 for free.
